ਲੰਡਨ ‘ਚੋਂ ਖਰੀਦਿਆ ਸੀ ਬੱਚਾ ਸ਼ੇਰ, ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ਘਰ ‘ਚ ਪਾਲਿਆ, ਫਿਰ ਜੰਗਲ ‘ਚ ਛੱਡਿਆ – ਅੱਜ ਵੀ ਗਲੇ ਲੱਗਦਾ ਏ! 1969: ਦੋ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਅਨ ਜੌਹਨ ਰੈਂਡਲ ਤੇ ਐਂਥਨੀ ਬੋਰਕ ਹੈਰੋਡਜ਼ ਸਟੋਰ ‘ਚ ਘੁੰਮ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ। ਉੱਥੇ ਇੱਕ ਪਿੰਜਰੇ ‘ਚ ਬੱਚਾ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵਿਚਾਰਾ ਬੰਦ ਸੀ। ਦੋਵੇਂ ਦਿਲ ਦੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਸਨ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਖਰੀਦ ਲਿਆ ਤੇ ਨਾਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ “ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਚਨ”। ਘਰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਆਏ ਤੇ ਚੇਲਸੀ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਫਲੈਟ ‘ਚ ਪਾਲਣ ਲੱਗ ਪਏ। ਸੌਣਾ ਬਿਸਤਰੇ ‘ਤੇ, ਖਾਣਾ ਟੇਬਲ ‘ਤੇ, ਟੀਵੀ ਵੇਖਦਾ, ਸੌਫੇ ‘ਤੇ ਲੇਟਦਾ – ਬਿਲਕੁਲ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਦਾ ਮੈਂਬਰ! ਲੋਕ ਹੈਰਾਨ ਸਨ, ਪਰ ਕ੍ਰਿਸ਼ਚਨ ਸਭ ਨੂੰ ਬੜਾ ਪਿਆਰਾ ਲੱਗਦਾ। ਇੱਕ ਸਾਲ ‘ਚ ਹੀ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਵੱਡਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ।
