May 24, 2021 · No. I wasn't able to play vr at all on my 3050 laptop. Since VRChat was my main game, the only kind of good experience was with my old oculus rift and it still crashed a lot with unbearable frame rates. Same with beat saber, it worked, kinda, but not in a way that's fun to play. Quest 2 was almost impossible to use.

Mar 4, 2021 · As many of the reply's here are already showing - yes, freesync will work on Nvidia RTX series cards. However, the monitor must be connected over display port. It will not work over HDMI. Yep, AMD isn't an asshole that locks people out.

Sep 4, 2022 · Some programs say minimum is lower, but you generally don't want to be at the bottom of the barrel for what it will just run on. 3050 will do fine in most cases unless you're rendering. I'd say throw 16GB RAM and a 6-8 core CPU > 3.4Ghz (eg Ryzen 7 5800X, i5 12600K) at it and see how you go. Good single thread CPU performance will help a lot.
