Calls for Jack the Ripper inquest after DNA breakthrough (UK) …
Jan 18, 2025 · One reason I liked the recent "The Trial of Jack the Ripper" was that the mock jury heard arguments against three suspects and chose the one they found most likely. Of course we can argue why these three and if they made the right decision, but at least they heard skilled arguments against three reasonable suspects.
The One Where James Maybrick was Jack the Ripper
Dec 14, 2024 · Jack the Ripper Forums some years ago demonstrated a Times (I think) article from about 1888 in which 'top myself' was clarified to mean "hang oneself". The fact that someone on an online forum once might have wrongly claimed that Maybrick didn't ever write lyrics has no bearing on the subject of "one off instance" which has been thoroughly ...
New Tests on Tilly letter prove it genuine - Casebook: Jack the …
Dec 26, 2024 · No, the letter was not worth a second look (in my opinion) but I also knew from bitter observation that even bad Ripper hoaxes tend to have longevity, so I thought it would be advisable to contact the seller and ask for clarification on a few points and get them down on record. What I heard did not calm my initial suspicions.
What was the IQ of Jack?! - Casebook: Jack the Ripper Forums
Jun 5, 2008 · During Jack's day, IQ mattered little in terms of educational equality but certainly counted if you had to survive on the streets. At the time, little was known about what we call 'intelligence' and IQ tests as such were not available at the time of the Ripper murders.
Fido's Reconsideration of Aaron Kosminski - Casebook: Jack the …
Oct 11, 2024 · Yes, this isn't a question of how likely it is that Aaron Kosminski is Jack the Ripper; the question is how likely Kosminski is Jack the Ripper IF he killed Stride. It's a conditional probability. Lewis, I think the 2/3 chance she was a Ripper victim, 1/3 she wasn't might be your baseline given the current evidence. Many are on the fence like this.
Edward Buckley - Casebook: Jack the Ripper Forums
Oct 23, 2023 · That said, I don't think Buckley was the Ripper. He was horribly violent with a domestic partner and violently resisted arrest, but it doesn't feel like the right kind of violence for the Ripper. Buckley also lived for over 30 years after the last of the C5 was killed and I consider it unlikely the Ripper would have just stopped killing.
The blind man - Casebook: Jack the Ripper Forums
Jan 21, 2025 · Hi all Of all the many assumptions that have been made about the Ripper over the many years that have passed since the autumn of 1888; there is one aspect in particular that I believe is definitively accurate; that the killer had to work speedily and with relatively little light to carry out his "work." The idea as
Killer description and Suspect appearance - Casebook: Jack the …
Mar 3, 2010 · Yep, most of the descriptions have the Ripper as youngish but mature, age 30-40. Of course, a moustache and such can age a young man, so 23 year old Chapman might appear 30, just as an older man, such as Tumblety, if his hair was not grey, might appear 40. So, while it's by no means science, the Ripper seems to have been around 30-40. Yours truly,
Organised or Disorganised? - Casebook: Jack the Ripper Forums
Oct 24, 2008 · The fact that the killer mutilated his victims post-mortem, killed his victims where he found them (more or less), left the bodies in the open and killed in such a small area within walking distance of his base, and firmly within his comfort zone, I would think Jack was a disorganised asocial serial killer.
