The game would have to be tweaked a bit for it to work for the NHL, since there are a lot more games and a longer season. Updating the map every night would be too much work and I'm sure seeing a post about it every day would get old. and the map would be completely controlled by one team pretty early. Current ideas for fixes

The starting map assigned every county in the United States to the nearest NFL team. Every match is treated as a battle for land where the winner takes all of the loser's land. Map

Atlantic Hockey is the conference with the fewest amount of teams on the map, only having 1 (RIT). NCHC and ECAC are both tied for the most amount of teams on the map, both having 5. Harvard sucks.
