Measles cases in Texas and New Mexico rose to 370 on Tuesday, the health departments of the states said, an increase of 19 infections since their previous reports four days ago, as the United States deals with one of the largest measles outbreaks in the past decade.

The measles outbreak that began in northwest Texas grew to 327 cases on Tuesday, with dozens more reported in New Mexico and Oklahoma. The latest update from the Texas Department of State Health Services shows that nearly 70% of all cases in Texas have been in Gaines County,

Measles outbreaks in West Texas and New Mexico now have 370 cases in total. Two unvaccinated people have died from measles-related causes.
