Steven Yeun, renowned for his roles in The Walking Dead and Beef, has joined the cast of Paramount and Nickelodeon's upcoming animated film centered on Aang from Avatar: The Last Airbender.

In the spin-off/sequel series The Legend of Korra, Yeun has voiced Wan, the first ever Avatar, who harnessed the abilities of the different elements. Wan’s story is explored in the show’s second season, which aired more than a decade ago.

What we do know is that the movie—directed by Lauren Montgomery, co-directed by William Mata, and based on the series Avatar: The Last Airbender, which was created by Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko—will focus on the character of Aang, which presumably means it’ll take place between The Last Airbender and Korra.
