President Donald Trump said he would announce 25% tariffs on steel and aluminum Monday and would kick off reciprocal tariffs in the days after. The tariffs could increase the cost of cars, construction and a wide array of consumer goods.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in a talk with business leaders, said Canada’s wealth of critical minerals are behind Mr. Trump’s comments about making its northern neighbor a U.S. state.
