Some big news hit the NFL timeline last week as Washington Commanders wide receiver Terry McLaurin reportedly requested a trade. While it is believed that McLaurin won't actually be moved ahead of the season, it's still not a comforting feeling to know a team's top wide receiver might not want to be with the organization.

The 49ers' offer of Brandon Aiyuk is intriguing but ultimately the Commanders would likely turn down all of these potential deals.

ESPN's Bill Barnwell said that he felt the "most likely scenario" regarding the trade request is that the Commanders will have McLaurin in the lineup for their Week 1 game against the New York Giants on Sept. 7.
