A man died when his golf cart fell through ice on Glenn Flint Lake in Putnam County; emergency efforts were unsuccessful and an investigation is underway.

A 60-year-old man is dead after driving his golf cart onto a lake and falling through the ice. Jeffrey Nowak of Greencastle was pulled from the water by first responders and rushed to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

GREENCASTLE — Indiana Conservation Officers are investigating an incident that claimed the life of a Greencastle man on Glenn Flint Lake in Putnam County early Sunday morning.     At 12:46 a.m., first responders were dispatched to the lake for water rescue after it was reported a golf cart broke through the ice.
