Rumors circulated that WWE would hold a September Premium Live Event, but nobody knew what it was. Finally, the company announced that an old ECW pay-per-view will be revived from the ashes in the form of WrestlePalooza.

WWE is reportedly set to bring back an original ECW pay-per-view name for its PLE to counter-program AEW All Out next month.

Wrestlepalooza was initially a special TV event. Cactus Jack turned heel to cost Tommy Dreamer a big victory over Raven. Overall, Wrestlepalooza began as a good concept for ECW. Back when ECW was beginning to gain some momentum,

WWE is reportedly planning to bring back the old ECW event Wrestlepalooza for its September premium live event. AEW will hold its All Out pay-per-view in Toronto on September 20. It was reported by Dave Metlzer that WWE plans to run a premium live event on the same day.

Chris Jericho has been synonymous with All Elite Wrestling since the start, a huge figure in the industry who understood the vision of Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Cody Rhodes and Tony Khan, and hitched his star to the young promotion.

WWE appears to be prepping a September PLE to compete with AEW, and it might reach into ECW history for its name.

AEW is heading to the birthplace of ECW later this month in Philadelphia for a residency at the 2300 Arena. And it appears a new trademark filing will be utilized during their stay. On August 18, AEW filed for a new trademark with the USPTO for the name “September to Remember.

With it previously reported that WWE was looking to counter-program AEW All Out with its own special event on 20 September, it appears that the market leader is turning to ECW for inspiration. Per WrestleVotes, it looks like WWE is reintroducing the Wrestlepalooza name for this show:
