Jimmy Kimmel has been vocal with his dislike for Donald Trump's presidency and famously expressed disappointment over his 2024 victory.
CBS and its parent company, Paramount, have set an end date for one of the last public pipelines to some version of the truth.
On Thursday, CBS announced that it was cancelling the long running The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The cancellation news came just days after Stephen Colbert, a critic of Donald Trump, called out Paramount, the parent company of CBS, over its $16 million settlement with the president.
Nearly three weeks after Paramount settled, the left-wing staff still does not appear to be heading for exits.
President Trump cheered the cancellation of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert," saying he "absolutely loves" that Colbert "got fired."

Even CNN’s Brian Stelter, no fan of Trump, said as much, writing: “The bottom has indeed been falling out of the late-night TV business model for several years now. Audience fragmentation and digital competition have led to a decline in ad revenue across the board. One insider described it as ‘cratering’ at CBS.”
Jimmy Kimmel and his family took a stand with his family, protesting President Donald Trump following the cancelation of Stephen Colbert’s late-night show.
