Dodgers rookie Roki Sasaki has been out with an injury, and the team plans to have him in the rotation when he returns.

The Los Angeles Dodgers got a positive update on starting pitcher Roki Sasaki as he nears his return from a shoulder injury. Sasaki is set to start a rehab assignment on Thursday, throwing three innings in Triple-A.

Los Angeles Dodgers rookie right-hander Roki Sasaki has been sidelined since May 9 with a shoulder impingement. With his absence coming up on three months, though, Sasaki appears to be making significant progress toward a return, and a possible change in role, at least for the playoffs, could be in the plans.
