The Phoenix Zoo is mourning the loss of one of its beloved animals. The zoo announced Noelle the female fennec fox died a week ago at the age of 12. She was six months old when she arrived at the zoo in 2012.

The NEW Zoo is mourning the loss of one of its oldest and longest-term residents. Penelope the North American porcupine was euthanized after falling sick. She was almost 21 years old. The zoo says Penelope's appetite decreased significantly over the weekend so she was brought to an indoor space for observations and specialty care.
