A new civilian-led version of the reality competition series "The Traitors" is heading to NBC with Alan Cumming as the host. The announcement was made by Cumming at the inaugural Televerse 2025 conference during "The Traitors: Reality Competition Program Nominee FYC Panel" at the JW Marriott Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

While the past two seasons of the Peacock reality series have featured only celebrity contestants, a new version for civilians is coming to NBC. In fact, the network is now accepting applications at https://www.thetraitorsus.com/.

NBC announced in a Thursday, August 14, press release that an "all-new civilian version" of the Emmy-winning competition series is in the works at the network. The new version will still feature Alan Cumming as host and the game will continue to take place in the iconic Scottish castle.
