A vote by the Scottish Parliament to pass a bill to legalise assisted dying is deeping concerning, a Northern Ireland MP has said.

Kim Leadbeater said she is ‘pleased’ that MSPs backed the general principles of assisted dying as psychiatrists raised ‘serious concerns’ over Bill.

John Keenan, the Roman Catholic Bishop of Paisley, expressed his “sadness” that MSPs backed an historic law change on people's right to choose the timing of their death.
