Treynor Optimists are organizing a school bus to take elementary children for swim lessons at the Lewis Central School pool at Titan Hill in Council Bluffs.

A longtime Rock Island County employee who retired in June of 2024 was arrested Wednesday after an investigation allegedly showed she stole at least $900,000 from the county.
