Cleveland Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has MLB aspirations after his NBA career, citing his admiration for Mets' Francisco Lindor.

With the New York Mets in the heat of a Postseason race, MLB Network will debut Behind The Smile: Francisco Lindor on Sunday, Aug. 31, at 8 p.m. ET, the latest installment of the MLB Network Presents documentary series.

David Peterson dominated the Nationals again, Mark Vientos homered for the second consecutive game and the New York Mets pounded Washington 8-1 for their third straight victory.

On Thursday, the Mets finally had things set up the way they wanted. Their starter, Kodai Senga, pitched into the sixth inning — something that hasn’t happened since last Wednesday, Aug. 6 — and handed the ball to right-hander Tyler Rogers, who turned the ball over to the set-up man, Ryan Helsley, with a 3-2 lead.

Alvarez stayed in the game after his double in the seventh inning. He did not come out to catch in the eighth inning of the Mets’ 7-3 win over the Mariners in the MLB Little League Classic. Mets manager Carlos Mendoza said Alvarez would return to New York for an MRI.
