Google has placed some new limitations on a Google Photos feature that allows users to automatically share images and videos in their library with a partner. The update to Partner Sharing now means that users can only share photos or videos that were taken using their device’s default camera app,

Partner Sharing lets you instantly share your Google Photos library with someone else, but now it won't work with external photos.

Google Photos no longer shares screenshots and images from other apps with partners. Google quietly rolled out this change and updated its support page to reflect this. There is currently no easy workaround for this Google Photos limitation.
