There was a lot of uncertainty at the Flyers’ morning skate. Ahead of the team’s game Monday against the New Jersey Devils at the Wells Fargo Center (7 p.m., NBCSP), coach John Tortorella did not have any lineup news aside from saying that Sam Ersson would get the start.

Couturier has been ruled out for Monday's game against New Jersey due to an illness. Couturier has missed just two of the Flyers' first 50 games of the season, but he'll be sidelined for the first time since Dec.

With Couturier being the Flyers' captain and one of their top players, it is certainly tough that he is unable to play against the Devils. However, on the bright side, the Flyers confirmed that fellow key forward Scott Laughton will return to the lineup.
