The Dallas Mavericks played the fourth and final matchup of the season against the Portland Trail Blazers on Thursday night, with an early start time due to inclement weather in the Dallas area. Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving remain out for the Mavs, but they did get Daniel Gafford back already.

Hardy missed nearly three weeks in December because of a right ankle injury. His newfound consistency since returning resulted in a season-high 25 points

The Dallas Mavericks clawed back from down double-digits to beat the Portland Trail Blazers 117-111 on Thursday night, using a 16-0 run in the final few minutes to finally take control of the game. They would have never been able to stay afloat if it wasn't for an unsuspecting hero.

The Dallas Mavericks sought a two-game winning streak, and so did the Portland Trail Blazers, as the two West teams entered Thursday night’s game. The Mavericks defeated the Trail Blazers 117-111 at the American Airlines Center on Thursday night.

Despite missing star players Luka Dončić and Kyrie Irving, the Mavericks capitalized on strong individual performances, including Jaden Hardy’s 25-point outing and Dereck Lively’s first 20-point game of the season, finishing with 21 points and 16 rebounds.
