The CTA said Monday night there was a minor derailment of a Yellow Line train at the Howard Station near Evanston. About 7:40 p.m., the CTA and the Chicago Fire Department escorted riders from two trains to nearby platforms, according to CTA spokeswoman Catherine Hosinski.

This was not the first incident involving a Yellow Line train in the area of the Howard terminal in Rogers Park. Lauren Victory reports.

CTA and Chicago Fire Department crews helped riders off trains stopped behind a derailed train Monday night. No one was hurt.
