Warriors: Abyss is an easy-to-play, hard-to-master Musou Roguelike. The gameplay loop for Warriors: Abyss is a simple one — you pick a character from the ones you’ve unlocked, to lead your team.

WARRIORS: Abyss is a dark fantasy hack-and-slash action RPG that takes players to the underworld, which is in complete chaos. This game was developed and published by KOEI TECMO GAMES.

Abyss is at its best when it’s building on the Warriors part of its title rather than Hades. It features a whopping 100 playable heroes from both Dynasty Warriors and Samurai Warriors.

Warriors: Abyss is available now for the PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S. A PC code was provided by the publisher for this review. Lucas White.

Warriors: Abyss is out today on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It's also coming to Nintendo Switch on February 13, 2025.

Naturally, Warriors Abyss also brings back Musou attacks with an additional gauge allowing you to assemble the heroes in your formation and have them wreak havoc on-screen until it depletes.
