Maine voters will decide whether the state will become the latest to require voter identification at the polls. A conservative group in the state has been gathering petitions to get an act on the ballot to require presentation of photographic identification for the purpose of voting.

Voters in Maine will likely decide whether or not to require a photo ID to vote this November. The Secretary of State's Office confirming on Wednesday that a group supporting that change got enough valid signatures to send the question to a statewide referendum.
