On Saturday, late Houston mayor and congressman Sylvester Turner was laid to rest during services at the Church Without Walls.

Mourners filed into Houston's Church Without Walls Saturday — some wearing black, others in vivid shades of blue — to honor former Mayor and U.S. Rep. Sylvester Turner at his funeral, as a montage of the prolific orator’s speeches played in the sanctuary.

Rep. Turner's funeral was held on Saturday afternoon at the Church Without Walls. He was laid to rest during a private burial afterwards.
