Kansas City man sentenced to 25 years for shooting officer during traffic stop in April 2024
A Kansas City man has received a 25-year prison sentence for a shooting that injured a police officer. Dwayne Barnes pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of armed criminal action, and two counts of assault in the second degree. According to court records, officers pulled over a car for expired tags on April 8, 2024.
