As Jannik Sinner pursues a fourth Grand Slam, he'll have somewhat of a physical limitation at Wimbledon. The Italian tennis star and world No. 1 is wearing a sleeve over his right arm for his quarterfinals matchup against Ben Shelton, a result of an injury he sustained in the last round.

THE ALL ENGLAND CLUB, LONDON — There are only two players who have been able to knock Ben Shelton out of Grand Slams this year: Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner. That’s good news and bad for Shelton, who exited Wimbledon in the quarterfinals Wednesday afternoon as Sinner sent him home, 7-6 (2), 6-4, 6-4.

Bewn Shelton ended his Wimbledon campaign in the quarter-final. A left-handed American faced world no. 1 Jannik Sinner and suffered a 7-6, 6-4, 6-4 defeat in two hours and 19 minutes.

Jannik Sinner is through to the Wimbledon quarterfinals, though not in the way he wanted. Sinner lost the first two sets of his fourth-round match with Grigor Dimitrov on Monday before Dimitrov was forced to retire from the match after suffering an apparent pectoral injury.

American Ben Shelton said he paid the price for trying to serve too fast after losing 7-6(2) 6-4 6-4 to Jannik Sinner in the Wimbledon quarter-finals on Wednesday. The 22-year-old left-hander cranked out some huge firepower as he tried to knock the ice-cool Sinner off his stride but in the big moments his big weapons failed him.
