A person was fatally struck by a train Tuesday morning in east Fort Worth, officials said. Police responded to the area of East Lancaster Avenue and Sandy Lane at about 7:20 a.m. after someone reported a train had hit a person lying on the tracks, according to the 911 call sheet.

Two people are dead after a shooting at a party in southwest Fort Worth early Sunday morning. The first victim has been identified as 19-year-old Emiliano Serna; the second victim's identity is pending official confirmation. Police are searching for a suspect who fled on foot, and no arrests have been made as the investigation continues.
