Since President Donald Trump took office in January 2025, Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrests have shot up 77% in Northern California since the last year-plus of Joe Biden’s administration, according to recently released data from ICE.

A confrontation broke out outside the San Francisco Immigration Court on Tuesday as federal immigration agents attempted to detain a man, an incident that led to a clash with protesters who surrounded and clung to the van carrying the individual away.
