Rightmove shares have slumped after the company announced that its contract with online letting agent Openrent would soon end after both parties failed to agree on the conditions of the deal.

OpenRent, one of a number of online letting agents (or realtor, as it might be described in the U.S.), has picked up £4.4 million in backing from Rocket Internet’s venture arm Global Founders Capital.

Rightmove said OpenRent accounted for “less than 8%” of its residential lettings listings last month.
