The new Joy-Cons come as a single paired set, featuring a Light Purple left controller and a Light Green right controller. Nintendo has confirmed that buyers will not be able to purchase a full matching pair in a single colour. The controllers are priced at $99.99 and will be available from February 12, 2026, with pre-orders now open.

Those little accents around the analogue sticks are likely all you'll see when the Joy-Con are attached to the console. And that's fine, y'know?
With the Nintendo Switch 2 on the horizon and presumably launching sometime in the Summer, perhaps it’s a little too late for even one of the best Switch controllers and Joy-Con alternatives to hit the market. But I suppose it’s better late than never.
