Mia le Roux who was set to represent South Africa at the Miss Universe finals this weekend in Mexico has pulled out of the competition, organisers have announced, citing health concerns.

Mia le Roux, South Africa’s trailblazing beauty queen, has withdrawn from the Miss Universe finals in Mexico due to health concerns. The 28-year-old, who made history in August as the first deaf woman to be crowned Miss South Africa, was set to compete among 120 contestants at the prestigious 73rd Miss Universe pageant this weekend.

The Miss South Africa organisation announced on Friday that Miss SA 2024, Mia Le Roux, has withdrawn from the Miss Universe competition. According to the organisation, Le Roux withdrew due to health concerns.
