LEGO just made its most ambitious showing ever at CES, the world’s largest consumer electronics trade show—an unusual venue for a toy giant, and a telling one.

Lego announced its Lego Smart Play platform on Monday, which introduces new smart bricks, tags and special minifigs for your collection.

The tech-packed toys include an array of sensors capable of detecting other nearby building blocks, lighting up and playing music.
