Mediaite on MSN‘This Is So Dishonest’: Dan Abrams Systematically Dismantles Tulsi Gabbard’s Alleged Obama ScandalDan Abrams systematically dismantled Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard’s bombastic new allegations against former President Barack Obama
Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard on Friday released a slew of documents that she said implicate members of the Obama administration for “treasonous” behavior during the 2016 election.
A spokesperson for Obama said that while the office “does not normally dignify the constant nonsense and misinformation flowing out of this White House with a response,” the Trump administration’s new “bizarre” and “ridiculous” allegations warranted one.
These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.” The statement continues, “Nothing in the document issued last week undercuts the widely accepted conclusion that Russia worked to influence the 2016 election but did not successfully manipulate any votes.
But neither the memo nor the report refute the volumes of public evidence of the interference, including a GOP-led Senate Intelligence Committee investigation. And the documents advance a misleading description of what the intelligence community said about those efforts and their extent.
B y all appearances, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has been struggling for months. On Capitol Hill, she’s become the subject of bipartisan ridicule, with one Republican senator recently questioning whether she should be medicated.
