U.S. men's national team coach Mauricio Pochettino will lean on a cast of reliable veterans in this month's CONCACAF Nations League finals, as the defending champions look to build momentum a little more than a year out from the World Cup.

Midfielders Tyler Adams and Gio Reyna, and defender Cameron Carter-Vickers have been picked for the U.S. national team for the first time under coach Mauricio Pochettino, among 23 players selected for the CONCACAF Nations League final four matches this month.

Jesse Marsch has significantly bolstered the depth of Canada’s attack with his latest roster, as incoming dual nationals Daniel Jebbison and Promise David headline a team that hopes to win its first trophy since 2000 at the Concacaf Nations League Finals.

Mauricio Pochettino has selected the 23 players that will represent the USMNT and compete for a fourth consecutive CONCACAF Nations League title next week.

The trust and relationship he wanted to build with a player like Gio Reyna, who got his first call-up under Pochettino despite struggling for minutes and form at Borussia Dortmund; and Tyler Adams, who similarly will get his first look after returning from a back injury.
