Petty Officer 3rd Class Scott Ruskan, 26, was credited with saving 169 kids from the floods on the morning of July 4 in Kerr County, including girls from Camp Mystic.

Among them is Coast Guard rescue swimmer Scott Ruskan, who is credited with helping evacuate more than 160 campers. This was Ruskan’s first recovery mission.
