Residents will see shovels break ground in the coming weeks on a significant improvement project meant to reshape the intersection at Alabama Street and U.S. Route 59 in south St. Joseph.

Stage 1 will begin on Alabama Street between Route 59 and Sherman Street and that area will be closed during construction.

The Missouri Department of Transportation is hosting an information session to provide information and answer questions about the Route 59 and Alabama Street intersection project in Buchanan County.
