An 18-year-old was arrested for DWI after running a flashing red light and crashing into a Dallas police squad car. This is the second North Texas officer hit by an intoxicated driver in less than a week.

A Dallas police sergeant is in the hospital after an early morning crash Monday. The driver who hit him was arrested for DWI and will be booked into jail.

Dallas police say one of their sergeants was driving through the traffic light at Manor Way and Cedar Springs, a couple blocks south of the entrance to Love Field.

A Dallas police vehicle was involved in a late-night crash. As of Monday morning, it was unclear what caused the crash or how many people were involved.
