"The Sandman" Season 2 is wrapping up Dream's story throughout the month of July. The Netflix adaptation of the Neil Gaiman comic book series drops its second and final season in a less conventional Netflix release date.

In 1996, Neil Gaiman couldn’t have foreseen his own downfall. But as Netflix’s The Sandman winds down its adaptation of the controversial author’s masterpiece, you can’t help but draw the connections between Gaiman’s own legacy and the show’s maudlin farewell tour for its title character.

The first six episodes of The Sandman Season 2 were released on July 3. Five more episodes will be released on Thursday, July 24 at 3 a.m. ET / 12 a.m. PT. The series finale will be available to stream on Thursday, July 31. The new episodes of The Sandman will air on Netflix.

The Sandman wrapped up with the final set of episodes for the second season. To the despair of fans, Netflix had previously announced that the show would not be returning for a third season.
