One skydiver died and another was injured following a midair collision in Rochelle, Illinois that caused both parachute canopies to collapse despite reserve parachutes being deployed.

Two people collided mid-air while skydiving, leaving one dead and another injured in Rochelle, Illinois, on Wednesday night. The Ogle County sheriff said both skydivers' reserve parachutes deployed.

The experienced skydiver fell to his death on July 9, just days after Dr. Noel Liu died in a separate incident
