Property tycoon Ong Beng Seng pleaded guilty to one charge of abetting the obstruction of justice on Monday in part of a landmark case that led to the jailing of former transport minister S. Iswaran for obtaining valuable items as a public servant last year.

SINGAPORE: Property tycoon Ong Beng Seng pleaded guilty on Monday (Aug 4), in a case linked to former transport minister S Iswaran. Ong, 79, admitted to one charge of abetting Iswaran in obstructing the course of justice by helping the latter pay S$5,

The charges are related to flights, a hotel stay in Doha and Formula One tickets that former Transport Minister S.Iswaran had received when he headed the Singapore Formula One night race steering committee.
