The Arizona Cardinals continued their defensive overhaul in the NFL draft, using six of seven picks on that side of the ball.

General manager Monti Ossenfort insisted the Arizona Cardinals didn’t enter the NFL Draft with intentions to load up on defense — that’s just how their board fell. That might be the case, but the results don’t lie.

The Cardinals traded pick No. 152 to the Cowboys for No. 174 (still in the fifth round) and No. 211 (in Round 6). The Cardinals did not have a pick in the sixth round, so now they have three picks remaining.
