LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana Gov. Mike Braun signed an executive order Tuesday directing all law enforcement agencies in Indiana to cooperate with Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Braun said the state will fully support the President Donald Trump administration's policies.

Indiana's Republican governor released two statements Tuesday supporting the president's latest sweeping measures.

Gov. Mike Braun doubled down Tuesday that all Hoosier law enforcement agencies should “cooperate fully” with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to remove undocumented immigrants in Indiana.

NEWS: Braun stated that the policy is aimed at going after the worst offenders first, following the lead of President Trump.

INDIANAPOLIS (WNDU) - Indiana Gov. Mike Braun has signed an executive order that directs law enforcement agencies across the state to cooperate with and support immigration enforcement efforts and operations of ICE. The governor says Indiana will focus on finding those in the state that entered the country illegally and committed crimes.

Braun has also signed several executive orders, including one that dismantled diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the state government, and another that mandates the Indiana Department of Health to release reports on terminated pregnancies.

These orders are part of Braun's commitment to what he calls providing quality healthcare for Indiana residents without breaking the bank.
