Overall, the 12 teams will compete in a modified double-elimination format until the championship games, which are single elimination. The games will be shown on ESPN+, ESPN, ESPN2 and ABC.

The Little League Softball World Series continued on Wednesday as two teams looked to take one step closer to a championship.

The Guilford Little League softball team lost to Lake Mary (Fla.) 9-1 Tuesday night in Greenville, North Carolina. Guilford was eliminated from the Little League World Series with the loss. The team lost its opener on Sunday 2-1 to Johnstown (Pa.) in the double-elimination tournament.
