The Los Angeles Sparks seemed out of options to reach the postseason after winning only six of their first 20 games this season. The malaise stretched so far that even Kelsey Plum, the team's star point guard and a two-time WNBA champion, seemed to fly under the radar.

The Sparks led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter before holding on for a 100-91 home victory against the Indiana Fever Tuesday.

Los Angeles is now 13-15 on the season, one game behind the Golden State Valkries for the final playoff spot.
