Her father, James Craig, is on trial for allegedly using cyanide and tetrahydrozoline in protein shakes to kill his wife of 23 years, Angela Craig, in 2023. Craig pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder and several other charges, including solicitation to commit murder and solicitation to commit perjury.

Dr. James Toliver Craig, 47, is charged with first-degree murder in the March 2023 death of his wife, Angela Craig, a 43-year-old mother of six.

Defense attorney Ashley Whitham accused police of conducting a biased investigation and implied that Angela Craig died by suicide.
