Charlie Morton gave up two hits and struck out five over six innings and the Detroit Tigers scored five runs in the first inning of a 7-0 win over the Minnesota Twins.

Right-hander Charlie Morton (7-10, 5.48 ERA) will start for the Tigers against Twins right-hander Pierson Ohl (0-2, 7.15). Morton is coming off an unusual home debut at Comerica Park on Aug. 9. Morton struck out seven consecutive batters but then gave up two costly home runs in a loss to the Los Angeles Angels.
