A Collin County judge has set a June 1, 2026, trial date for Karmelo Anthony, the now 18-year-old accused of fatally stabbing another teen during an altercation at a Frisco ISD track meet in early April. Anthony was indicted for murder by a Collin County grand jury in June.

A trial date has been set for June 2026 in the case of Karmelo Anthony, who is accused of fatally stabbing 17-year-old Frisco High School track athlete Austin Metcalf at a meet.

Austin Metcalf, who died of his injuries April 2, was a junior at Frisco Memorial High School, where he participated in football and track.
