I tried to buy tickets on the Musee Marmottan Monet website for late Sept. 2023, and the dates from Sept. 17 through the end of Sept. were blocked off. Will the museum be closed at that time? Although we usually buy our tickets in advance, especially if there is a special exhibition we want to see, you don't have to do that. We always see people buying tickets there and going right into the museum.

I am unaware of an online purchase but you can buy this combination ticket by visiting the Marmottan museum first and when you get there ask for a combination ticket with Giverny. This is a better option as the line ups at the Marmottan are much shorter. I do not advise going to Giverny without a ticket. If you go to the Marmottan half an hour before it opens you will not have to wait. You can then go straight downstairs to the basement and enjoy the glorious Monet's without the crowds. You do not have to use the Giverny ticket straight away. It is an open ticket valid for at least a couple of weeks.
